The Music Place
The Music Place is a new kind of music experience for kids in Easton, Maryland — built around playing, creating, and growing together.
Rather than traditional one-on-one lessons, The Music Place gives kids the opportunity to learn music in a hands-on, encouraging environment where they can make music with other kids, build real skills, and have fun doing it.
🥁 Our Drum Program
Our first program at The Music Place is an 8-week beginner drum experience for kids ages 8–12.
Every student gets their own drum kit and learns in a small-group setting with plenty of hands-on playing.
Kids will begin learning things like:
How to set up and understand a drum kit
Proper playing technique
Basic rhythms and coordination
Fundamental drumming patterns
How to play along with music
Listening and working together as a group
Building confidence through actually doing the thing
But the goal isn't simply to teach kids how to hit a drum.
It's to give them an experience where they can discover what they're capable of.
At The Music Place, we believe kids grow through experience. They don't need to be perfect before they participate, play, create, or share what they've learned.
A New Kind of Music Experience
The Music Place was created from a simple idea:
Music education can be more than sitting down for a weekly lesson.
It's a place where kids can show up, get their hands on an instrument, make some noise, learn something new, and become a little more confident along the way.
Play. Create. Grow.
That's what The Music Place is all about.
Ready to see what it's like?
Our current drum program is designed for beginner students ages 8–12, but this is growing fast and more ages and programs are in the works!
